King’s Swim Academy began with a family who loved the water and believed swimming should be a life skill for everyone.
Founders Jeff and Joan Smith grew up swimming, coaching, and competing at the highest levels. Jeff has coached swimmers of all ages, from beginners to college and masters athletes. And Joan, an NCAA All-American swimmer, track athlete, and professional triathlete, brings decades of experience teaching both children and adults.
King’s has been guided by a simple belief: when you teach with patience, encouragement, and love, kids not only learn to swim, they learn to believe in themselves. And that is same belief lives on today through the SwimSure™ curriculum and the Emler Swim School family.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do, both in our teaching and in how we care for our pools.
All King’s pools are chlorinated and sanitized with ultraviolet (UV) technology, an advanced, non-chemical process that uses germicidal light to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and organic matter. This ensures the water stays clean, clear, and gentle on swimmers’ skin and eyes.
Our Deck managers check and balance pool chemistry every four hours, and our sand filtration systems work alongside UV sanitizers to keep the water sparkling clean and healthy.
